Native file formats for data exchange:
– JT: A lightweight, versatile format for 3D data.
– IGES: The Initial Graphics Exchange Specification.
– DXF and DWG: Common formats for 2D drawings.
– STEP: ISO 10303 standard for 3D data exchange.
– Solid Edge and Parasolid: Siemens-related formats.
Preferable model file formats for price quotations are STEP and Parasolid, which prevent information loss during translation.
We also use Moldex3D Plastic Molding simulation software in mould design. This leading true-3D moulding simulation software can predict potential manufacturing defects, validate part/mould design, lower mould development costs, evaluate manufacturability and shorten production cycle.
